The fashion week season in Berlin is one of the busiest weeks in Germany’s capital city. Fashion lovers stream in from all over the globe hoping to get a glimpse of the latest fashion. On the other hand so many aspiring fashion artists in Berlin are longing to showcase their designs – hoping that an opportunity would arise and they would feature in one show or the other. Realizing the need for a platform via which aspiring designers can present themselves, fashnet – an interactive platform for ermerging fastists was born.
On the the 10th of July 2015 the first fashNet event was launched in Berlin in a phenomenal location – Haus Ungarn. FashNet was actally conceived years ago by my humble self Coko Diamond and my very good friend Tonia from Maischna Magazine through our love for fashion. Finaly on Friday July 10th, we saw the vision come to pass.
FashNet is a rendez-vous of fashion artists from deferent professions including – but not limited to: designers, models, hair and make-up artists, musicians, singers, stylists, DJs, – showcasing their artististic talents to a fashion foward audience.
We promised our audience 4 shows and 4 live acts and at the end we topped ourselves to – 5 shows and 4 life acts.
The 5 fashion Shows were intersected with 4 live Acts and networking intervals allowing the guest ample time to flirt, collaborate, exchange busuiness cards, and get to know eachother. Here a rundown of the performances of the evening.
The show was opened by the talented Melanie Piontek who amazed the crowd with a sensational debut accompanied by DJane Nana Sky. Then came the solo singer and song writer Taiwo who took us on a melodious journey after the first networking break. Adi Wolf and her band then crowned it all as they had us moving to the beats and melody of her beautiful and sensational voice.
The audience was hypnotized by the band Skeamo during the Noetia fashion show… while mr cool and elegant Gemeni District left us asking for more as he flushed the stage with his smooth moves to the display of accesoires. Oh My! It was an amazing evening!
The designers on their part didn’t leave us wanting. Excellence is the only word I can use to describe the artistic competence of the designers. They went over the top to show case the best of what they had for the season. The following designers graced the show:
Noetia Berlin, I Love My Bagger, Muyombano Jeweries and Coko Diamond.
